# 6 Thinking about my English program and studying

I think about passing three months of English program. The time went quickly. I tried to study hard at home as well as at school. First of all, writing assignments improved my writing skills. Also, The day that I didn't want to study English, I studied English through watching English movies and speaking with my family in English. I tried to think in English as much as possible during any time. I need to more improve writing and speaking skills. So, I will continue to write and speak in English. If you know a good way to improve writing and speaking skill of English, please tell me the way. And, thanks to my teachers, friends and family.

# 5 Canada Day

Tomorrow(July 1, 2016) is 149th Canada Day! Canada  was born on July 1, 1867, by British North America Act 1867. In other word, Canada Day is National Foundation Day. So, many celebration events will be held throughout Canada. You can participate fireworks, living flag, performances, parades, a free pancake or ice cream, and face painting on Canada Day, in Calgary. I am going to go a free pancake breakfast event in the morning at Heritage Park. And I will go to Centre Street Bridge to see Canada Day Firework. # 4 Trying New Food; Do You Know "Peking Duck"?

I used to eat roasted ducks or chickens in Korea because I love it. One day, My sister bought a Peking Duck for me at the Chinese restaurant in Calgary. We ate it at home. Peking Duck(Beijing Duck) is traditionally roasted Chinese dish. It be made with plum sauce or a fruit sauce. It has crisp skins and tender meats. Flavor is sweat and fantastic. If you like roasted chickens, you will love it.

# 3 Transportation Etiquette; On the Seoul Subway

The Seoul subway is always crowded with many passengers because it is usually faster than a bus. Also, the Seoul subway has more than 10 lines: It is convenient, but complex. There are common rules of etiquette to be polite and nice to each other on the Seoul subway. For example, don't speak loudly, don't sit in courtesy seat, don't block the door or walk ways. In addition, there are unwritten rules of etiquette. Don't sit in courtesy seat even if the subway is crowded, don't take more than one seat, don't touch other poeple, don't too affectionately touch, stand on the right side of the escalators, walk on the right side, walk at the pace the crowd is walking. I suggest, if you visit to Seoul, you should know the Seoul subway etiquette and follow these rules.

#2 C-Train Etiquette; On the C-train

I have ridden the c-train twice. There are some rules that c-train passengers have to follow. We have to follow some important written rules; Don't speak loudly, Don't smoke, Give your seats for elderly, disabilities. Also, we have to follow some unwritten rules. For example, don't make eye contact with strangers, don't talk to strangers, don't take more than one seat, don't blow your nose loudly. These rules are not enforced because no one enforced if you break rules. However, we are in together on the subway. It's reason that we have to be polite and respect to each other. We don't need more rules. An important thing is not rules but mind.

#1 self-Introduction

Welcome to my blog :)
I'm Jeong-ah. I'm living in Calgary with my sister's family. My favorite color is mint.  My mint running shoes and t-shirts are precious to me. I like noodle food such as pasta(Italian noodle), pat thai(Thai stir-fried rice noodle), Vietnamese rice noodle. I love to see nature while hiking. When I was in Korea, I've hiked Mt.Jiri. I don't forget awesome and beautiful landscape of Mt.Jiri hiking route. I will go hiking to Banff and Jasper before back to Korea. Recently, I enjoyed learning the ukulele and English.

Thank you:)
